You are also entitled to a free credit report if you are denied credit on the basis of your credit report. If that ever happens you need to send a letter to the credit bureaus asking for a copy.

And to elaborate on the above, you are allowed one free credit report per year. More than that and you will have to pay for it.

AnnualCreditReport.com is the site mandated by the FTC to allow you online access to your free annual credit reports from each of the three credit bureaus. Reports are free; scores are not.

CreditKarma.com offers a free score estimator based on your TransUnion credit report. It’s not FICO (the score creditors use). But it’s kinda, sorta like FICO, give or take 50 points or so. Good enough if you are just curious about your score.

The first person is the most correct. The Annual Credit Report site lets you get all 3 one time per year for free and you don’t need a credit card.

I tried it and just got all 3 reports, after being sent from that site to all 3 bureaus.

Basically, they ask you personal questions to determine your identity and you can print the reports right there.

You don’t get a FICO score, so if that is what you need, you still have to pay My Fico for that.
