I am employed by a financial institution. The only place to get a free credit report is http://www.annualcreditreport.com. You may get a copy of your credit report from each of the three major agencies once per year. I wouldn’t really say it’s hassle free as you do have to answer a bunch of questions to confirm your identity but you do not have to complete any offers or anything like that. Good luck. By the way, you will not get your score…if that’s what your looking for, you will have to pay for it or ask the lender next time you apply for credit.
the only place i know of is freecreditreport.com. you have to put in your information and it gives you a free experian credit report with the option of buying the other two for 24.95. They also offer credit monitoring which I have, its a great place to go. hope it helps.

and Equifax are two companies I know off-hand that provide truly free credit reports. I’ve personally ordered a report from Experian before – it was some years ago but it was delivered in a timely manner.
the only site which will get you a totally free credit report is annualcreditreport.com it is run by the big 3 credit reporting agencies and you are entitled to one free report each year from each of them
