Free Credit Report is a rip off
freecreditreport.Com is a rip, and so hard to end services, you get 9 days free then if you email them to cancel it does no good, they will not honor it till they get you on the phone and try to scam you into staying by saying they will take 5 dollars off, if you agree to that you stay signed up for 5 dollars less, not 5 dollars worth of refund. Not to mention to cancel you have to give someone in pakistan or India or somewhere your social security number, credit card number, and mothers maiden name, from a company that makes a living scaring people about identity theft!!! WOW

The funny part is that they are chaging you for a freecreditreport, how are you going to charge someone for something with the word FREE in the name? They are good at what they do.

I got the report and cancelled the same day, and never got charged. The best thing to do is read up and get educated on their product first. I’ll admit they are tricky in their offerings. When I emailed the same day to cancel and called to reference that, the email was a legal document as long as it referred to the account. I’m in the insurance and financial industry, this isn’t a shady business.

Actually, I have had really good luck with them. They monitor your credit for a relatively low price, and I find it to be well worth the money. For a low monthly fee of 15.00 dollars, me and my wife, both get our credit reports monitored and are alerted through email if any changes accour and I gotta tell you it is a very comfortable feeling knowing that we will be alerted if any change occur with all the fraud now days, in my opinion it is a very small price to pay for peace of mind.

Stay away from any company that advertises all the time.

Oh and they ask all that information to protect you.

If you read the contract, it says that after 9 days the trial expires and you will be charged.

freecreditreport is a SCAM !!! I am pretty savvy with purchasing on the web, but these guys trick you and they are very misleading. I paid to find my credit rating (which you cannot get from the gov for free) FCR enrolls you in a trial, without telling you or confirming by email and you need to call to cancel. Here’s the problem… you don’t know about the charges until you receive your next months credit card bill.

I just gave them all my private and clicked ok for a free report, but I got only a blank screen and never got my report. Next thing I got an email saying that I didn’t have the right to view my credit report again(!) even though I never saw it(!) and that they were now offering me a free credit score. Did anyone else have a problem like this and what was the resolution. My worry is that they are not legit and that they now have all my sensitive info. Can any one help?

I signed up, checked my score, called and cancelled. The next day I get an email saying it takes 10 days to process the cacellation. Well after 9 days the free trial is up and they charge you. Mother fuckers
