With the FICO score formula being recalculated last month, becoming an authorized user on a parent or spouse’s credit card will once again help raise your credit score. In the beginning of this year FICO changed the way that they calculate credit scores. After the change, being an authorized user on a credit card account no longer benefited you. The purpose of the change was to help stop companies that allowed you to pay to become an authorized user on someone else’s account to build your credit history. Many people felt that this was a dishonest way of adding positive trade lines to a credit report. Fico changed back the formula simply because the new equation was unfair to people who legitimately deserved to benefit from being an authorized user on a parent or spouses card. However, they say that the new formula will not help people who pay a stranger to be added. Get a Reloadable Credit Card With A Credit Reporting Service. If your credit is bad enough to the extent that you can no longer be approved for a credit card, it may be beneficial to look into a prepaid card. Most of them offer most of the benefits of a traditional credit card without the risk of getting yourself into some serious debt. Reloadable cards that offer a service to help build your credit, you pay a monthly fee (usually about $10) and they report to the credit bureaus about your on time payments. This puts an illusion of good credit on your reports because it shows that you are paying a credit card off in full and on time each month, but in reality you’re only paying a very small fee for this convenience. Ask Your Current Creditors To Report Your Payment History To All Three Credit Bureaus. Investigate every account that you have in good standing. Find out if the creditor is reporting that account to credit bureaus. If they aren’t, ask them in good faith to start reporting these accounts on your credit report. This will almost certainly boost your credit score if they are accounts that have always been in good standing. If they refuse to it might be a good idea to look into other companies that do report to credit bureaus. It will not benefit your credit score if you have a good account that’s not showing on your credit report. Usually a well placed threat that you are willing to open an account with a competitor will get them to comply.

A credit report is a snapshot of your current obligations to creditors. These creditors include credit card companies, mortgage companies, banks, and retail stores. Lenders are permitted by law to check your credit report and review it in order to determine whether or not to grant credit to you. In order to build a credit report all you have to do is establish credit in the form of a bank loan, credit card account, car loan, mortgage, or studen loan. Information on your credit report comes directly from your history with accounts you currently have outstanding loans with. Whether you pay your obligations on time or not, lenders will report that information to the credit bureaus. There are four categories.

Fortunately, there are ways to break into building your credit score, even if you have no history or bad credit history. The secret is to start small and stay responsible. It is imperative that you settle your business credit card with bad or fair credit. If you have many debts or have recently gone through bankruptcy, it can be tasking to keep track of how much you owe and to whom you have a loan from.Once you get your credit report, evaluate it carefully. If you find any debts you have not paid off yet, pay them off right away. If you find any inaccuracies or mistakes on the lenders part, dispute them right away.It is always the right thing to do to first make sure you keep a record of all your correspondences with the company. If you are writing letters, print off two copies of each and date them. If you are calling on the telephone, be sure to get the name of each representative you speak with and keep a log of all the calls you make.If you find any discrepancy in your credit report, notify the credit agency that reported the issue that there is an inaccuracy. Write a letter to each credit agency notifying them of the inaccuracy and let them know that you are disputing it.Then contact the business that reported the false claim. Call them on the phone at first and let them know you will be mailing them a letter as well. If possible, ask if there is an appropriate department to address your letter. Also, let them know that you have already contacted the credit reporting bureaus about the matter.Once the matters are all resolved, get a hold of each credit agency again and make sure they include a record of the dispute and the inaccuracies resolution on all of your future credit reports. This lets lenders know that you have addressed all issues that appear on your credit report.Because of your business credit card with bad or fair credit, you may want to restart your business with a secured credit card that is issued by a bank or credit union and has a credit line that acts as your collateral for your loan in case you fail to pay. This reduces the risk for the lender and can get you better terms on your loan.If you are just starting out or already have questionable credit, a secured credit card is a better way to go. Secured credit cards ensure that you always have enough money to cover your debts, which means less liability both for you and your credit card company, especially when you have had a business credit card with bad or fair credit.Practice responsible borrowing habits• Pay off the entire balance each month. This will keep interest from building up. • Always pay on time. Just one late fee can be a blemish on your credit report that can take a long time to go away. • Don’t spend what you don’t have. Forget about cash advances, super checks, or keeping a balance over a long period of time. This leads to debt, debt, debt and interest. • Stick with one credit card Company. The longer you keep an account in good standing, the better it will look on your report. • Keep an eye on your statements. Report any unauthorized activity or errors immediately. • Negotiate better terms once you have stayed in good standing for about 2 years. Let your credit card company know that you are a responsible customer and deserve better rates. For more info: http://www.bizcreditcards.org/

There are lots of things which you should know in order to avoid the credit card debt. This may sound a cliché to you, but nonetheless you should know these little intricacies to avoid any such embarrassing moments. At first you may think that credit card debt is something which is unavoidable, but in actuality it can be avoided, provided you do the necessary things in order to keep up with the pace of the credit card provider. One general advice that has been given out to people to avoid the credit cards debt is that you have to limit your purchase or the time interval between two purchases. Because as the time interval between two purchase get shorter and shorter you will have to face a huge accumulation of debt, hence, be prudent and make your decision about when to purchase and when not to. The more we wait for longer duration of time to make another purchase, the more the benefits are for us. For instance, if you purchase for the second time in a month then you will have only one grace period before which you should pay for the first purchase and again in a short duration you have to pay out for the second purchase. So it is for our good that we be patient and plan accordingly to our income. If you happen to be a middle classman then it is absolutely good for you if you avoid some unnecessary purchase and that too with the debt being unpaid to the credit card provider. You should think about the consequences of using the credit cards so often, because in the future you do not want to have a bad credit history and also you credit score has to be good for you to get a good finance for whatever you want to buy, say a furniture or a car. To get a good finance you have to maintain a clean credit history and a good credit score. This can be done only if you avoid some bad debts to accumulate on in your credit account. There are several options for you to get out of this kind of hole, but for that you have to strictly adhere to what the experts say. There lots of freelance advisors available in the internet, but you should be careful in finding the right one for you. Because there are so many imposters doing rounds in the free world of internet. Hence, see that you get the advice from a good and well established credit card advisor to avoid credit card debt.
